Alternative schools are places of learning for students who have not succeeded in traditional classrooms. Alternative schools may have a smaller student to staff ratio; they may be able to offer specialized services that meet students’ behavioral needs.
Students with learning difficulties are better off being sent to an alternative school that employs teaching methods different from traditional ones. For example, Project-Based Learning or Montessori Education.
